Federica Di Marcantonio has got her University Degree in Economics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where she started to be interested in the application of the Capability Approach to human well-being. Federica obtained a Master’s in quantitative methods from the University of Roma, “Tor Vergata” in 2007, and the European Ph.D. in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, in 2012. During her Ph.D. she has also collaborated on several projects at FAO on topics related to: undernourishment, food security and agricultural performance. Federica is the author of ‘A Multidimensional analytical framework for conceptualizing Disability and Well-being in the Capability Space’ as well as co-author of other different papers. Federica’s work in applied economics is situated within a multidimensional understanding of poverty and deprivation and its application to human development and public policy.
